It is recommended that any long responses be created, edited, and spellchecked in another text editing program before copying and pasting the long response into the appropriate field.
You should double-check the text you have pasted to make sure it does not include any font conversions. For example, question marks may show up where you had entered quotation marks.
If you do find strange characters or unusual line breaks, be sure to edit your response in the text field until it appears correctly. Another solution is to edit your response in plain-text format and then move to the online text field.
